How it works
A gridded variable is an array with a CRS: the numbers along its last two dimensions are
columns and rows of cells that the store places in some coordinate system, with an affine
transform or with 1D coordinates. This page finds that CRS, draws the grid's cells and chunks
on the globe, and unfolds them into another projection.
Cells that are equal in the store are rarely equal on the earth. Colour by cell area to see
by how much, or by angular distortion to see where the store's CRS bends shapes.
Links use gridlook's URL form, so the same address opens there too.
